TKDCI LAUNCHED
Over 1,000 youth, volunteers and guests packed the
Department of Agrarian Reform gymnasium, during the
official launching of the Tao at Kalikasan Development
Center, Inc. (TKDCI) last November 30, 2007.
The event, spearheaded by Mr. Robert Dela Cruz, TKDCI
Executive Director, presented the advocacies of the
organization through music and arts.
The launch involved a series of activities, including a
mini-trade fair and bazaar, national poster making contest,
final exhibit of the 1st National Painting Competition and
the awarding ceremony.

Immediately following the poster making contest were the
painting exhibit and awarding ceremony, graced by Fr.
Romeo Intengan, Mr. Renee Manalo, Atty. Ramel Muria,
Mr. Rommel Marquez, Mrs. Nenita Rosas and Mr. Jestoni
Alarcon, members of the Board of Trustees.
The first "Awit at Sigaw ng Kalikasan" Battle of the
Bands served as the highlight of the event. This was
participated in by seven bands from various schools and
universities.
Renowned bands such as Rocksteddy and Kamikazee
wowed the crowd. Celebrity host Ronald "Joaqui" Tupas
and volunteer Krimzee Rose Deguito hosted the event. It
was covered by RPN-9 and
University TV.

Mr. Dela Cruz welcomed the visitors and participants to the poster making contest.
He likewise sought support for the advocacies of the organization such as
environment conservation and rehabilitation and human development. "Through
music and visual arts, the language of the youth today, we are officially launching the
Tao at Kalikasan Development Center, Inc., as we seriously promote environmental
awareness and uphold holistic human development", he said.
