TKDCI to Produce Album for a Cause
Tao at Kalikasan Development Center, Inc. (TKDCI) Executive
Director Robert Dela Cruz announced the release of the album
of its newly-discovered performers in April 2008.
In an interview, Mr. Dela Cruz unveiled details of the album
which is being prepared since January. "This album will be a
compilation of 12 original songs of the bands we have
discovered as we launched the organization in November last
year. This album is definitely produced for a cause since the
proceeds will be utilized in the institution of a learning center,
which TKDCI has been dreaming of for its adopted community,"
he said. He explained that the project also aims to give
exposure to the bands who are now active volunteers of TKDCI.
Among the bands are Gaia (formerly December Coffee), Pieces
of Jane, Samaria, Tribora and Woodland. The album will be
co-produced by TKDCI volunteers, Mr. Andrew Balatbat, bassist
of Grin Department and Mr. Giovanni Concha.

Mr. Bobby Balingit facilitated the Artists workshop on Feb. 1, 2008 at Woodbridge Pizza -
Roces. The workshop highlighted the experiences, hardships and lessons learned of both
struggling and successful musicians. He also discussed the processes as well as the
challenges of producing an album. Bobby is the vocalist of the influential punk band The
Wuds. Together with two foreign guitar musicians, Udo Guido and Chris Callas, he also
formed the Juan Isip band.

Contract Signing between the Tao at Kalikasan Records and the Artists. The Contract Signing was facilitated by Atty. Ramel Muria, Atty. Aizee Taguines and Atty.
Leonard Subiela. Among the bands who signed were Samaria (Feb. 19), Gaia (formerly December Coffee), Tribora, and Pieces of Jane (Feb. 26) and Woodland
(March 5). Mr. Robert dela Cruz signed the contract in behalf of TKDCI.
