TKDCI to finally release “MUSIKA at KALIKASAN” album
After months of hard work, Tao at Kalikasan
Development Center, Inc. (TKDCI), together with
Woodland, Samaria, Tribora. Pieces of Jane
and Gaia finally release its compilation album
entitled “Musika at Kalikasan”.
Composed of 12 original songs, the album is
now available in Odyssey record outlets located
at several SM branches. Among the songs in
the album are: “Kalikasan”, its carrier single,
“Ikaw” and “Minimithi” by Woodland;
“Makakarating Din” and “Wala na” by Samaria;
“Awit ng Kabataan” and “Pare ni Juan” by Gaia;
“Bora” and “Rapsa” by Tribora; and “Kailan”
and “Isipin” by Pieces of Jane. Also included in
the album is “Tao at Kalikasan”, the official
theme song of TKDCI and interpreted by
various artists of the bands mentioned.
Both “Kalikasan” and “Tao at Kalikasan” generally call for environmental
awareness and protection, aligned with TKDCI’s advocacy.
Album producer Andrew Balatbat, who also happened to be the composer of “Tao
at Kalikasan”, proudly remarked in an interview, “Musika at Kalikasan, consisting of
all original songs and performed by promising bands of this generation, is definitely
a work worthy of all praises.”
TKDCI Vice Chairperson Rene K. Manalo shares the same excitement as he
looks forward to the success of the album, as well as the implementation of all the
projects benefiting from this venture. Incidentally, among these projects are the
agro-reforestation project, a scholarship program and the institution of a learning
and livelihood center.
