TKDCI and YESD joins DZMM's Takbo para sa Kalikasan
About 70 TKDCI and Youth for Environment
and Social Development (YESD) delegates
participated in DZMM's annual “Takbo para sa
Kalikasan”, last February 17 at the Quirino
Grandstand, Luneta, Manila. Delegates were
community youth, young professionals, students,
reservists and volunteers. The group was headed
by Mr. Julius Labalan, YESD Secretary-General
who ran under the 5-kilometer category.
“This is one great opportunity for TKDCI to show
how sincere we are in supporting environmental
initiatives. This is really fun, as we celebrate good
health and rehabilitation of our environment,” said
Labalan.

Among the guests in the fun run which
commenced with a warm-up aerobics were Vice
President Noli De Castro and Manila Mayor
Alfredo Lim. As in the past years, “Takbo para sa
Kalikasan” is for the benefit of the La Mesa Water
shed and its continued rehabilitation.
